Glaze. The smoothed surface for agglomerating dusts.
Glaze – for excellent elimination of the filter cake
Filter media in industrial filtration are
individually designed to suit the operating
conditions in the filter house. Selection of
the correct needle felt and surface coating is
the most important criterion in this case.
The surface coating protects the needle felt
effectively against harmful influences and has
a markedly positive effect on the service life,
filter cake formation and cleaning.
Glaze is the right choice for optimum elimination of agglomerating dusts.
Owing to an additionally smoothed surface
for needle felts, particularly in case of
agglomerating dusts, Glaze offers excellent
elimination of the filter cake.
Agglomerating dusts occur for example in
combustion or drying processes.
Glaze can be combined with CS17® as an
oil and water-repellent finish and with CS31
as PTFE fibre impregnation
Glaze at a glance
- Improved elimination of the filter cake
- Less pressure loss
- Extended service lives of the filter bags

ExCharge. The antistatic filter bag for optimum explosion protection
Avoiding dust explosions is a major challenge in industrial production.
ExCharge® achieves resistance values of significantly less than 106 ohms, measured according to DIN 54345 (Part 1 and Part 5), and thereby meets the electrostatic requirements for conductive filter media. Provided ExCharge® filter bags are permanetly grounded, from an electrostatic point of view there are no concerns about the use in all areas at risk of dust explosion (zones 20, 21, 22) as well as in all areas at risk of gas explosion (zones 0,1, 2).
This property can be used in the risk assessment of equipment subject to Directive 2014/34/EU (“ATEX directive”), where ExCharge® filter bags shall be installed
ExCharge® AT A GLANCE
- Optimum dissipation of electrostatic charges
- Permanently antistatic behaviour due to high-quality
stainless steel fibres (1.4404/AISI 316L) in the needle felt - When produced with ExCharge® yarn, then all properties
also apply to ExCharge® filter bags - Tested by DEKRA
ExCharge®-APPLICATIONS
- In potentially explosive atmospheres
- For highly chargeable/charged dusts

MPS®. Filter media for fine dust filtration.
MPS® – increased fibre surface by microfibers
Airborne fine dust is extremely hazardous to health. Particularly in industrial zones it represents an enormous burden on the environment. Filter media from BWF Envirotec also ensure clean air in this case too. We have developed our MPS®-filter media specifically for filtration of very fine dusts, such as those occurring in coal-fired power stations, biomass power plants and in non-ferrous metal and steel production.
Microfibres result in a several-fold increase in the fibre surface of the filter medium, thereby providing the greatest possible filtration surface with a separating action with minute pores on which even minute dusts are separated.
MPS®-filter media thus ensure extremely low emission values with simultaneously reduced cleaning intervals, compressed air consumption and energy.
MPS® at a glance
- Improved elimination of the filter cake
- Extremely low emission values
- Extended service lives of the filter bags as a results of reduced elimination intervals
- Favourable operating costs through reduced compressed air and energy consumption
MPS® – applications
- Coal-fired power stations
- Biomass power plants
- Non-ferrous metal and steel production
- Thermal waste treatment

PM-Tec® filter bags with ePTFE membrane
Fine dust doesn't stand a chance!
Particularly in industrial areas, fine dust can pose serious health risks, placing an enormous burden on both people and the environment. Lamination with a highly effective ePTFE membrane significantly increases filter media efficiency. Fine dust, measuring even in the submicron range, is thus already separated at the surface. Can be applied to needlona® needle felt and glass fibre fabric.
Advantages of PM-Tec® at a glance
- Even the finest dust particles are separated beginning at the surface
- Lowest emission levels, with zero emission a near possibility
- No dust penetration into the carrier material
- Excellent cleaning properties due to smooth, anti-adhesive surface
- Constant differential pressure
- Constant gas flow rate
- Long service life and high productivity
PM-Tec® – applications
- PM-Tec® filter bags from BWF Envirotec are used in many areas, such as the cement, waste, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, metal and plastics industries or in power stations.
